Catalogue note

Original first-print Cover B of Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #4, the concluding chapter of Rafael Grampá's four-book DC Black Label series. Released on 10 June 2026 after an unusually prolonged publication history, this physical state pairs Grampá's finale with a Lee Bermejo card-stock variant cover. DC simultaneously issued a separate black-and-white Noir Edition; a Deluxe Edition collecting #1–4 was announced for September 2026. As of the accession research date, no second or later standalone printing of #4 has been located, so this copy represents the only confirmed serial printing currently documented rather than a reprint.

Writer: Rafael Grampá

Artist: Rafael Grampá; Mat Lopes (colorist); John Workman (letterer)

Cover: Lee Bermejo

Edition: Cover B · Lee Bermejo card stock variant · original first printing

Why this object matters

Bermejo’s final-issue cover offers a useful interpretation of Grampá’s completed project and a direct comparison with TMR’s other finale variants. The long publication interval and absence of a confirmed reprint are bibliographic facts, not evidence of outstanding importance.

Evidence limits: Complete under standing TMR accession rule. No missing issued component is reported; comic remains enclosed in its Collect Forever Soft Slab.

Score and assessment method

Archive Importance: 7.8 / 10.

This is a curatorial judgement, not a measurement accurate to one tenth or a market valuation. Read the explanation and its evidence limits together.
