Catalogue note
Complete Japanese Warner Home Video Ever Green LaserDisc of Goldfinger, catalogue NJEL-99205, issued in 1988. This copy retains the original wraparound OBI, the dedicated Japanese Goldfinger insert, a separate two-sided 007 series guide and a very clean two-sided disc. The edition is a later Japanese home-video presentation rather than an original 1964 object, but it preserves an unusually complete period package for the film that became one of the defining templates of the James Bond screen franchise.
Edition details
Japanese Warner Home Video Ever Green issue, catalogue NJEL-99205, JAN 4988135992055. Physical OBI prints ¥4,950 and identifies colour, mono, approximately 106 minutes and CLV. Suruga-ya provisionally dates this catalogue state to 25 April 1988.
Condition note
Jacket presents very strongly with light edge/corner wear only. Original wraparound OBI is present and complete. Goldfinger-specific Japanese insert is present; separate two-sided 007 Special Guide / series data sheet is also present, with light age spotting/handling. Both recorded disc surfaces appear exceptionally clean in the supplied photographs with only minor handling marks visible. Playback remains unverified.

Attribution / research note
Physical packaging identifies Sean Connery as James Bond and credits producers Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli, director Guy Hamilton, source author Ian Fleming and principal cast including Gert Fröbe and Honor Blackman. The official 007 archive confirms these credits and Shirley Bassey's title song with music by John Barry. Suruga-ya independently supports NJEL-99205, JAN 4988135992055, 106-minute colour/mono specification and a specialist-attributed 25 April 1988 release date.
Why this object matters
The Goldfinger-specific liner and additional series guide make this documented package especially useful for studying Japanese Bond marketing. Its completeness supports the top outstanding band while the 1988 reissue remains distinct from a 1964 first-release object.
Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.
