Catalogue note
Regular Cover B edition of Warbird #1, a Bad Idea action/espionage comic written by Derek Kolstad and Robert Venditti, with artwork by Alex Maleev and Esad Ribić and colours credited to Dean White. Frank Quitely's cover places an armed figure against an oversized red aircraft wheel, with turquoise figure colouring and a red/turquoise masthead. The reverse promotes the connection to the creator of John Wick and describes high-end repossession specialist Cole being hired to steal one experimental fighter jet and destroy two others. This is the first main numbered issue of the four-issue project, not its earliest published material: Warbird #0 preceded it. Preserved in its Collect Forever presentation enclosure as evidence of both contemporary comics publishing and collecting practice.

Why this object matters
Quitely’s aircraft-wheel cover provides distinctive visual value within TMR’s artist holdings, alongside Maleev/Ribić narrative artwork. Warbird #0 precedes this numbered launch, and first-print identification remains high-confidence rather than fully inspected. A meaningful 7.8 fits the documented object.
Evidence limits: Front and rear covers present in the supplied photographs. Interior pages, binding and any loose contents have not been inspected or collated. The enclosure label mentions checklists and a next-issue cover preview; their presence is not independently confirmed from these exterior views.
