Catalogue note
Fifth dedicated Darth Vader silver bullion design in the New Zealand Mint Star Wars series; official licensed Niue legal tender.
Condition: Strong bright bullion surfaces and crisp relief. No obvious milk spotting, heavy toning, fingerprints or major damage. A few small marks/contact points and/or reflective disturbances appear possible in open fields, consistent with MS68, but photographs through the slab do not justify assigning individual marks confidently. NGC MS68 preserved as authoritative grading opinion.
Completeness: NGC encapsulated; original Mint tube/flip/packaging not documented.
Mintage / issue limit: Declared mintage 100,000 pieces. Specialist series documentation lists dedicated silver Vader issues as 2017 Vader I (250,000), 2018 Vader II (250,000), 2019 Vader III (100,000), 2020 Vader IV (100,000), 2022 Vader V (100,000).
Rarity / replaceability: Limited but not rare. 100,000 is a finite modern bullion mintage. MS68 is not a desirable condition rarity in this context; MS69 and MS70 examples are available and generally more sought after.
Public provenance: Official Star Wars / Lucasfilm licensed New Zealand Mint issue; NGC certified.
Authentication: Certification number clearly photographed; exact NGC cert-lookup not independently retrieved, so pending.
Uncertainties: Do not describe the 2022 coin as the first Darth Vader bullion coin. | Online NGC certification verification pending.
Legacy record ID: Record #006

Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.
Uncertainties
- Do not describe the 2022 coin as the first Darth Vader bullion coin. | Online NGC certification verification pending.
