Why this object matters
Early Depeche Mode and Soft Cell, Glasgow nightlife and Kensington Market create a concentrated original record of 1981’s changing music and retail culture. Retain outstanding 8.9 status rather than award Gold simply for an early band cover.
Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.
Score and assessment method
Archive Importance: 8.9 / 10.
This is a curatorial judgement, not a measurement accurate to one tenth or a market valuation. Read the explanation and its evidence limits together.
