Catalogue note
Original 1993 Fleetway issue carrying Peter Doherty’s painted “Incendiary!” Judge Dredd cover and the fourth instalment of Mechanismo Returns, in which Mechanismo Number Five has gone rogue. The issue also launches the two-part Judge Hershey story “Asylum,” contains the penultimate Sleeze 'n' Ryder instalment, and closes the then-current Heavy Metal Dredd run with “Graceland!”. The rear advertisement for a UK Batman monthly launch is retained as contemporary cross-publishing evidence rather than treated as part of the comic’s editorial content.
Why this object matters
Doherty’s Incendiary cover, Mechanismo Returns chapter and Asylum opening provide strong serial and visual context. The Batman launch advertisement is useful period publishing evidence, but does not turn an otherwise strong sequence issue into an outstanding one.
