Catalogue note

i-D No. 287, May 2008, The Agyness Deyn Issue, in the Terry Richardson cover state. The issue was conceived as an unusually concentrated portrait of Agyness Deyn at the height of her late-2000s prominence and circulated with six different covers by five photographers, with Matt Jones contributing two. i-D later described the project as a guest-editing experience for Deyn. The issue also includes work and appearances connected to Vivienne Westwood, Nick Knight, Alasdair McLellan and Harmony Korine. The supplied copy preserves a period Gucci eyewear rear advertisement.

Why this object matters

The multi-photographer Deyn guest-edited project is an outstanding concentrated editorial portrait. The held Richardson cover represents one publication state, not all six. Reduce to 8.9 and remove Gold without discounting the substantive project.

Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.

Score and assessment method

Archive Importance: 8.9 / 10.

This is a curatorial judgement, not a measurement accurate to one tenth or a market valuation. Read the explanation and its evidence limits together.
