Catalogue note

Original Fleetway Editions Judge Dredd: The Megazine Vol. 2 #21, dated 6–19 February 1993. Carlos Ezquerra’s “Big Guns!” Al’s Baby cover foregrounds Al Junior and the Bestardi crime-family world, while the issue contains the standalone Judge Dredd story “Deathmask”, the finale of Dave Stone and Charlie Adlard’s three-part Armitage: Flashback, the return of Heavy Metal Dredd, and Blood on the Bib Part 6. The rear cover preserves a full-page UK advertisement for Terminator 2: The Arcade Game on Sega Mega Drive, adding useful contemporary games/comics publishing context.

Writer: John Wagner; Garth Ennis; Dave Stone; Alan Grant

Artist: Xuasus; Nick Percival; Charlie Adlard; John Hicklenton; Keith Page; Carlos Ezquerra

Cover: Carlos Ezquerra

Edition: Original UK fortnightly issue

Why this object matters

The Ezquerra cover, Armitage Flashback conclusion and Sega advertisement provide strong original comics and games-marketing evidence. Their combination merits 8.0, with the previous 8.7 overstating a primarily contextual sequence issue.

Evidence limits: Selected interior material is photographed, but no full page-by-page collation has been performed. No separate detachable premium is advertised on the supplied cover and no issue-specific free gift was located in the sources checked; no missing premium is presently identified.
